Smarter than a Worley Tiger? : "Are You Smarter than a Worley Tiger?"
Recently, Rogene Worley Middle School teachers participated in a unique staff development opportunity designed to increase interdisciplinary collaboration among teachers and let them see first-hand just exactly what their students are learning and are expected to know.

The day began with Worley's "Are you Smarter than a Worley Tiger" - a twist on the popular game show that quizzes adults on student curriculum. All of the questions were taken from the 7th and 8th grade TEKS in Language Arts, Math, Science, and History. The game was a fun way to introduce the serious objective of teacher collaboration across curriculum.

Each grade-level department then delivered a 30-minute presentation to their colleagues highlighting their scope and sequence, information and examples of their subject area student assessments, and a brief overview of what daily instruction generally looks like.

*The pictures are from the "Science" rotation where all the Worley teachers had the opportunity to participate in their own science lab...luckily there were no explosions or injuries!
